Your body already has enough sugar supply from the intake of carbohydrates, so doing away with the numerous cans of soda and multiple spoons of sugar will do you no harm.
Drink more water
Water is life, they say. It is also a great weight loss ingredient. Drink water before and after meals to help you reduce the quantity of food you eat. Also drink lots of water after working out. Hiking is an extensive walk or uphill climb for exercise. The good news is that, most Ghanaians are hiking now. Find a group or form your own group, choose one of the hills in Ghana or simply plot a long route and embark on a hike. You get to bond with people and also lose weight in the process.
Cut down on alcohol
This will not be easy but you have to do it if you want to see your dress size drop! Alcohol is said to be one of the leading causes of weight gain in Ghana and cutting down will go a long way in helping you lose weight. If you have been invited out, try and hold on to one glass of wine for as long as possible and leave early so that you are not tempted to drink more. Otherwise, just ask for water instead!
Make new friends with same weight loss goal
When it comes to weight loss, the saying “If you travel alone, you travel fast but if you travel together, you travel far” is very prominent. Surround yourself with people with the same goal and help each other along the way. Your friends will be there to motivate you when you are down and also with you when accomplish a goal.
