The female national team of Germany has confirmed an international friendly against the Black Queens of Ghana in Paderborn on July 22, 2016.
The game will be in preparation of German’s journey to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August.
According to the women’s team general manager, Doris Fitschen: “Ghana was our first-choice opponents because we desperately wanted to test ourselves against an African team to round up our preparation for the Olympics.
"Their style of play is very similar to our first opposition at the games, Zimbabwe. We will contest the match using our entire 18-player Olympic squad."
The DFB Women’s team will face Zimbabwe in their first group match of the Olympic football tournament on 3rd August.
They will then go ahead to face Australia on 6th August and Canada on 9th August in the same group.
