The technical director of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Shaibu Amodu has passed on aged 58 years on Saturday.
His death comes just few days after the sad news of former captain and coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi was announced.
A statement from the NFF stated that Amodu died on Saturday after "he could not wake up" from his sleep.
The statement said he had complained of chest pains before going to bed on Friday night.
Amodu and Keshi worked together as Nigeria's head coach and assistant coaches respectively at the 2002 edition of the Afcon in Mali.
