Five Fulani herdsmen are reported to have killed Coffie Adams, the caretaker chief of Kpali, a border town in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district in the Northern Region on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old man Adams, is reported to have prevented the herdsmen from crossing the river at night on the orders of the chief of the area.
He was shot and killed instantly by the herdsmen who were wielding guns on the Ghana side of the Black Volta River leaving another person injured.
ASP Francis Numado, the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district police commander confirmed the incident to the Daily Graphic.
The police are yet to make any arrest in connection with the heinous crime.
