Tragedy! Five killed in Cape Coast floods

Five have been killed in Cape Coast following four days of torrential rains there, it has been reported.

Three people are said to have been killed when a building that had been weakened by the unceasing rains collapsed on them.

Another was reportedly killed through electrocuting while the fifth was carried away by the flood waters.

The news comes days after flooding in Accra killed at least two people on Thursday.

A taxi driver was carried away by the flood waters while standing on the taxi on a flooded road.

Several areas of the capital were flooded, with individuals and businesses counting their losses.

A three-year-old girl in Tema also drowned in rapid waters, according to a report by myjoyonline.com.

Shalom Okyerera was reportedly seen being carried away by the flood waters but residents in the area could not rescue her.
