Robber who allegedly shot policeman at Atebubu arrested

The police have arrested a man believed to be part of a gang that killed a policeman, Constable Frank Klu, at Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region last week.

Sahama Zacky is suspected to be part of a gang that killed Constable Frank Klu

Acting on intelligence, the Atebubu police arrested the suspect, Sahama Zacky, 34, in his house at about 2am on Sunday, according to a report by Kasapafmonline.com.

The report said 20 rounds of ammunition, international currencies, two single-barrel guns, mobile phones and a machete were retrieved from his room.

The robbers killed Constable Klu in an operation that saw them rob passengers of valuables including money, phones and bags.

The policeman had reportedly attempted to prevent them from carrying out the robbery.
