Greater Accra min. escapes police arrest by appearing in court

Greater Accra regional minister Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo is reported to have rushed rushed to a court trial just so he could avoid an arrest warrant.

The court, presided over by judge Naa Adoley Azu had issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the minister after he consistently failed to show up in a suit he was involved in. However, the presiding judge stood down the case for the minister’s arrest after he showed up following calls to him by his lawyers.

Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo has been mentioned in a litigation scandal as he is reported to  transferred portions of lands at Amrahia to others, knowing very well that he had no title to the said lands. The substantive case has been adjourned to the July 5.
