Gyan denies links with NPP

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has denied reports that he is flirting and funding the opposition, New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to the Shangahi SIPG striker, he is apolitical and does not support any political party. Taking to his Twitter handle to issue his denial,Gyan, who is currently in China playing for Shangahi SIPG expressed his disappointment with reports emanating from Accra based Montie FM suggesting that he had imported arms and machetes in support for the New Patriotic Party(NPP).

A source close to the striker told Pulse.com.gh that Gyan was extremely disappointed in the claims.

“This is just wickedness. We would normally not even respond to these things but this concerted attack by this chap Mugabe [host of the show on Montia FM] has been going on for too long. We felt the time was right to clear the air off these falsehoods,” the source said.
