Woman murdered in Ashanti Region; body parts removed

Unknown assailants have brutally murdered a 65-year-old woman at Amoamo near Asante Bekwai in the Ashanti region, it has been reported.

The woman, Agnes Akosua Bewaih, was reportedly working on her farm when the assailants attacked her and killed her, before proceeding to remove her private parts, tongue, womb and heart.

A report by adomonline.com, quoted the woman’s son, Thomas Oppong, as saying that he had received a call that his mother had been found dead on the farm.

He said he did not believe it until he saw his mother's lifeless body, with her vital organs removed.

Oppong said he suspected that his mother had been killed for rituals, stressing that it was so mean for an “old woman” to have been killed on her farm in such a cold-blooded manner.

“…it is beyond my imaginations,” he lamented.
