Ghana army denies having an official linked to ISIS

A official statement by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has denied reports which suggests that one of its officers, Private Bawa Abdul Rahman, is linked to terrorist group, ISIS.

According to the report, the soldierwas scheduled to appear on an interview at the General Headquarters a few days ago in respect of a disciplinary matter which came up after a field exercise some months ago and that his interview was not in relation to any possible links with ISIS but purely a disciplinary hearing. GAF has revealed it is investigating the source of the social media post from which the media picked up that information for publication.

An earlier report by CitiFM stated that Bawa Abdul Rahman jumped out of the vehicle which was sending him to his bosses for military inquisition after his commanders invited him for questioning and further investigations over his suspected links with ISIS.
