Aminu Dawuda,who just completed writing the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) died at Adansi Anhwiaso in the Ashanti region after drowning in a river.

The 17-year-old candidate and student of Redeemer International School drowned in a river after he and his friends had gone swimming to celebrate a successful completion of exams.
Some of the residents who were at the Riverside rescued him and rushed him to the Adansi Anhwiaso clinic but was transferred to the New Edubiase Government Hospital. Aminu Dawuda was however pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. His body has been deposited at the hospital morgue pending autopsy.
