The chief fire officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Dr. Brown Gaisie has directed officers of the Service to fully enforce fire safety regulations and prosecute defaulters to in order to ensure strict adherence to fire safety regulations in the country.
According to Dr. Gaisie, the country has fine fire safety regulations to curb the menace of fire outbreaks and must be enforced. He described us unacceptable the regular incidents of fire outbreaks in the country.

He revealed plans by the Ghana National Fire Service to introduce Home Fire Certification, which he says will be integrated in a home fire prevention policy that would be enforced nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Eastern regional fire office honored Dr. Gaisie for his exploits as a fire officer while serving in the region.
