Veep's cousin dumps NDC for NPP ahead of Nov polls

First cousin of the vice president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Patrick Mantey has declared his support for flagbearer of the opposition leader, Nana Addo during a five-day tour of the Central Region by the flagbearer. 

Patrick Mantey says he is joining the opposition NPP due to the harsh economic situation in the country under the leadership of Mahama.

“I am dumping the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the NPP because they have nothing good to offer Ghanaians and I do not see any better future, should the NDC and Mahama retain power”, he stated.

The decision by Mantey to defect to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) raises much concerns over the actual performance of the sitting government and its capacity to get relected come the general elections in November.
