The road constructed by the Burkinabe contractor who bought a Ford Expedition for President John Mahama as a gift have started developing potholes barely one year after commissioning.
The “Dodo Pepesu” road which is in the Volta region was described by the president during it’s commission as “best quality”.

But in a latest Joy News report the DCE for the area [Nkwanta South], Alfred Kofi Wukanye has complained about the potholes that are developing on sections of the Kankyakura- Gbadago stretch of the road.
The report revealed that at least nine potholes and developing potholes on the Dodo Pepeso-Nkwanta road built at a cost of €25.9 million.
According to the DCE some sections of the road need “serious engineering”. He explained that the regional minister has forwarded concerns to the Ghana Highway Authority.
