The UK has voted in a referendum to leave the EU, shocking analysts and sending the pounds crashing to its lowest level since 1985.
The Leave campaign garnered 17.4 Million votes, representing 51.9%, while the Remain campaign had 16.1 million votes, representing 48.1%.
Weighing in on the development, US Republic Party Presidential Candidate Donald Trump said in a tweet that he was in Scotland and that the people there were jubilating over Britain’s exit from the EU.
The tweet has been met with laughter and scorn because Scotland actually voted against UK leaving the EU. 62% of Scots voted to stay while 38% voted to leave. Some Scots took to Twitter to blast Trump for his remark.
