The NPP will on Saturday hold a mini congress in the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency of the Upper West region to endorse the candidature of Elvis Banuemule Botaa as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area.
This follows a decision by the NPP parliamentary candidate of the area, Dr Boye Bandie, to step aside on health grounds.
A total of 520 delegates from 92 polling stations are expected to endorse or deny the candidature of Banuemule Botaa.

In an interview with Citi News, Ali Gado, the constituency secretary of the party said he is optimistic the 26 year old will receive a resounding acclamation and subsequently snatch the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency seat from Ghana's majority leader, Alban S. K. Bagbin who has been occupying it since 1992.
