Michelle Obama is heading to Africa with daughters Sasha and Malia.
The trio will leave the US on Sunday and head to Liberia and then Morocco as part of the Let Girls Learn initiative, a program launched last year by President Obama and Michelle.
Let Girls Learn aims at encouraging developing nations to educate an estimated 62 million girls worldwide who do not attend school.
Entertainers Meryl Streep and Freida Pinto are expected to be part of the trip.
In Liberia, Michelle will meet with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first elected female president in Africa, and have a discussion with local teenage girls. In Morocco, she will be joined by Streep for a conversation with adolescent girls.
