Hundreds of physically challenged workers Ghanaians are expected to picket at the ministries of education and finance in protest against unpaid salaries on Wednesday 13th July.
The workers, representing the Ghana union of disabled workers and Ghana federation of disabled organization say their allowances have not been paid for more than three years.
Meanwhile, interim chairman for the Ghana union of disabled workers, Alex Hodor says they will not rescind their decision till their monies are paid.
“Government needs to pay us some allowances, which are commuting and guide allowance. For the commuting allowance, some of our members are not enjoying it at all and since 2013, we’ve been battling it up till now.” He stated.

Asked how the association plans to picket the ministries, Alex Hodor reveals that they aim to block the entrance of the ministries with their wheelchairs come July 13. Meanwhile, the labor minister, Haruna Iddrisu is yet to comment on the development.
