Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, the editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide, has condemned the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, for making disparaging remarks about the Electoral Commission boss, Charlotte Osei.
Speaking to party supporters at a rally in Kumasi, Kennedy Agyapong said Madam Osei landed her job by giving sexual favours.
The remark has provoked outrage among some Ghanaians, with many expressing disgust at his conduct.

Several high-profile personalities, including Gender Minister Nana Oye Lithur, and Private Legal Practitioner Ace Ankomah, have also condemned the MP for his comment.
Commenting on the development on Accra-based Peace FM on Wednesday, Kweku Baako described Kennedy Agyapong's comment as "unfair" and "out of order", stressing that it would have adverse implications for his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“It’s not good PR. It’s not good public image for the party of which Kennedy Agyapong belongs. I’m telling you. He’s not going to be a singular loser in any public assessment of the matter. It has a collateral effect on the party that he belongs to," he said.
He said people were free to criticise the EC but should refrain from attacking its chairperson.
