President cuts sod for New Edubiase stadium

The New Edubiase community in the Adansi South district of the Ashanti Region are excited at the prospect of them having a modern 10,000-seating capacity multi-purpose stadium.

President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for the construction of the multi-purpose stadium valued at GH¢6 million.

The stadium which forms part of government’s agenda of the provision of modern sports facilities across the country will have facilities for all disciplines, including an astro turf for hockey and is expected to begin soon.

New Edubaise is the home of Ghana premier league participants, New Edubiase FC who now host their opponents in the ongoing league at Obuasi Len Clay.

The sod-cutting formed part of the President’s ‘Accounting to the People’ tour of the Ashanti Region.
