France beats Iceland to book a date with Germany

France beat a determined Iceland 5-2 in the quarter finals of the ongoing Euro 2016 Stade de France on Sunday.

France will now meet Germany in the semis

Two goals from Olivier Giroud and goals from Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann were all the French team needed to see off competition from Iceland who had bundled out England from the competition.

The Icelanders scored twice in the second half through Sigthórsson and Bjarnason to restore some respect.

France now take on Germany in the semis.
