One of the top broadcasters and sports journalists in Ghana, Christopher Opoku, who battled with cancer about three years ago has been spotted looking thinner than before.
Pictures emerging on social media have caused great worry among most of his friends and fans but the question of what is wrong with Chris has still been left unanswered.
A picture posted by Nii Ashley on Facebook simply asked for prayers for Chris.
It is feared that the sports journo, who has been off air for some time now may still be battling with some ailment that has caused his disturbing weight loss.
After posting a testimony on Facebook in 2013 about his near death experience with cancer of the rectum, Chris was back on air actively doing what he loves best – commenting and reporting on sports events. He was seen on various sports shows on Multi TV and GTV for a few months after his recovery in 2014 but has been off-air for well over a year now.
However these new images show a rather heartbreaking frail looking Chris. The sports journalist has lost so much weight but is smiling through it with his lovely family by his side.
It is still unknown if Chris’ cancer is back or if he is battling with a new ailment but his friends and family have asked for prayers.
Chris, married with three daughters, has had a long experience in both radio and television as morning show host and is best known for his quality sports presenting and has been hailed by some as Ghana’s finest football commentator on television. It was great to have Chris back on air in 2014 and hope to see him recover and get back on the sports saddle.
Check out how he used to look before and how he looks now.
