Catholic bishops describe threats against judges as worried

The Ghana catholic bishops' conference has joined forces in condemning death threats made against justices of the supreme court by panelists of Montie FM.

Describing the development as "worrying," the bishops warn that the "alleged threat is a very serious matter that should not be taken lightly" thus calling on law enforcement agencies to execute the needed legal sanctions.

Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn were picked up by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for questioning, following the threats. The Ghana Bar Association, the Media Foundation for West Africa as well as the government and other prominent individuals, have condemned the threats.
