Mensa Otabil decries loose reaction to power outages

Founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil says he is shocked at how Ghanaians have taken the persistent power outages lightly.

“It’s sad that abnormal things have become normal with us. We have had two power outages within this short period and we see it as normal. If it had been in other countries, they would think the country was being invaded by another country.” Pastor Otabil said during ETV's Ghana's most influential awards night.

Even though the government has restored the energy crisis with the provision of more thermal plants, concerns are rife over the capacity of these plants to fill in the gaping energy deficit in the country.
