Surely your sleepless night can be caused by different reasons. However, if your heart is heavy and full of trouble and pain; if you worry about your kids, life, work, anything… Just call upon the Lord and use these amazing Scriptures to restore the peace in your heart and get a good night’s sleep.
“Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
This is an amazing promise of God. If you come to Jesus, He can take off all your burdens and fears. His perfect love casts out all fears. He can deal with those situations much better than you. He can truly take them under control and bring good even out of evil! So, rely on the Lord and trust Him with all your heart and get some good sleep.
“He will not let your foot slip- He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalms 121:3-4
God never falls asleep, and He keeps watching you at all times. The old saying goes: God is watching in heaven, all is right with the world. He is your provider and keeper.
“For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.” Psalms 127:2
He is interested in you having a good sleep. In fact, He gives you your sleep and devil is the one who is after it. So, submit to the Lord, resist the devil and fall asleep.
“In peace, I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalms 4:8
As soon as you realize you are not the one in charge of your safety, you become able to give things over to the Lord and sleep. Anxiety kills too many people in our modern world. God provides for us the way to have an anxiety-free life.
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” .(Matthew 6:34)
Surely, the devil can steal your peace, but what if it is you to blame for losing it? Maybe you worry too much about the things that belong to the tomorrow? Jesus tells us that every day has enough to worry about. No need to spend you nights thinking about what might or might not happen tomorrow. The truth is you don’t know! But He does and He takes care of it and of you.
If you know, read and believe these Bible Scriptures, you would be able to deal with sleeplessness and have a good rest at night.
