John Dumelo turns down ‘Agenda for Mahama’ job

Top Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has revealed to his blogger friend Ameyaw Debrah that he has declined the offer made to him as Operations Director for ‘Agenda for Mahama’.

The thespian was reported in the media as having been appointed the operations director for Agenda for Mahama, a pro-NDC youth group for the ruling National Democratic Congress in a letter signed by Kofi Adzivor, the group’s convener.

Sources close to the actor revealed he was excited to be working with other officers of the party in making sure the group’s aim of sustaining the president’s agenda is realized.

In a bizarre twist to the news however, Dumelo said he refused the offer in a Whatsapp conversation with Ameyaw Debrah who went to town with the news on his Ameyawdebrah.com.

The award winning blogger said: “John Dumelo has denied reports that he has been appointed Operations Director for ‘Agenda for Mahama’. On the contrary, John sent me a statement via WhatsApp to say that although the offer was made to him, he turned it down.”

Dumelo who is a known NDC activist said his decision does not change his allegiance to the party and hoped to work hard for their victory in the upcoming November polls.

John said: “I’d like to thank “Agenda for Mahama” for the position offered but I would have to decline offer. I remain committed to campaigning for the NDC and ready to work with all groups in the party to ensure not just victory but massive victory for the NDC in the Nov elections. Thanks so much.”

The pro-NDC youth group, Agenda For Mahama focuses on campaigning for John Dramani Mahama mainly at the grass-root level to propagate achievements of the NDC administration.

They ultimately seek to ensure the party’s flag bearer secures a massive victory in the November 7, election.
