There will be no load-shedding - Mahama assures Ghanaians

President John Mahama says government is not planning on embarking on a load-shedding exercise.

Addressing thousands of Muslims at the Black Star Square to mark the Eid, the president revealed that government had ordered the Volta River Authority (VRA) and other energy institutions to put in place the needed structures to prevent the nation from suffering the cut of gas from Nigeria gas.

Currently, the West Africa gas pipeline is feared to be facing interruptions following conflict in the oil region of Nigeria.

This year's Eid celebration, saw thousands of Muslims converge at the Black Star Square in Accra to pray for peaceful atmostphere especially as Ghana heads for the polls in November.
