Being overweight remains one of the main causes of heart failures and health related diseases. In Ghana, one in every five political figure suffers heart-related diseases often due to the case of their weight.
To this effect, as we did in our former publication bring your way a cross section of entertainment figures who have lost a healthy amount of weight just to keep fit, here is a selection of some politicians who may want to consider losing weight
1. Kofi Wayo
Ghanaian politics may not be complete without the mention of the showman and international businessman, Charles Eric Kofi Wayo. The above picture of the politician attending the two-week celebration of manager of music legend, Amakye Dede's funeral shows that our most respected Kofi Wayo may be putting in a lot of efforts to control his weight even as he ages. This is a good move but he may want to step up his efforts before he begins to suffer the brunt of being over-weight.
2. Hanna Tetteh
Talk of political experience and the foreign affairs minister has it all to her credit - so experienced a stateswoman that most Ghanaians would love for her to man the affairs of the Ghana as president. Hanna Tetteh is an active woman who is always seen around the world representing Ghana in the best way she can. She may as well be that active in her exercise routines as she was spotted engaging in brisk-walk with other ministers of state during a retreat organized by the president. This is a plus and we must encourage her to do more!
3. Samuel Okudzeto Ablwakwa
He is one of the most eloquent ministers in Ghana today championing the rights of students and ensuring the development of tertiary education in Ghana today. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is probably one of the most loved personalities within the camp of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). Yes he may be getting sweaty in the gym getting himself back to shape but would it not be awesome to see Okudzeto Ablakwa looking all good in weight? Your guess is as good as mine.
4. Julius Debra
Julius Debrah is a Ghanaian politician currently the Chief of Staff to the President of Ghana. Aside the duty of overseeing the executive office of the president, it would not be a surprise that the 50-year-old could also be arduously working on his weight. Maybe through a selected diet.
NB: This piece is never meant to dent the image of anyone of the above listicle. It is clearly aimed at raising awareness for ''healthy living'' in our corporate environment.
