Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has criticised the lyrical beef between his colleague rappers Sarkodie and M.anifest.
The Rap Doctor as he is popularly known by fans said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that such competition and rivalry was not the best thing for the industry.
“The emphasis at this point should be ‘competition’. This is the new paradigm for music where competitors work together for a common good. Competition is dead, plain and simple. To put it plainly, it’s the number one killer of the industry,” Okyeame Kwame said.
He continued by saying that: “Instead of creating animosity, music should be used to bring fans together so we can concentrate on developing a better performance culture.”
Sarkodie on Sunday released a diss track titled “Kanta” in reply to rapper, M.anifest’s “GodMc” song that taunted him and his numerous achievements as a the king of rap.
Fans of both rappers have been at each other’s throat over the diss songs which have enjoyed a lot of airplay and public attention over the week.
Okyeame Kwame is one who is not new to celebrity feuds as he also had a row with rapper Obrafour in 2009 about the state of the hip-life industry.
