Here's what your favorite celebrities do for extra money
Most celebrities are not all about entertainment; your favorite stars, be them musicians, radio presenters or actors are mostly involved in other businesses.
For most of these celebrities, their status and fan-base is a massive motivator that pushes them to become side businessmen in an attempt to utilize their clout; for some however, they have either been involved in business prior to attaining celebrity status or just want to pursue their lifelong dreams.
From musicians who double as lawyer to actresses who won media schools, here is what your favorite Ghanaian celebs are into when they are not entertaining you;
1. Manifest
Manifest aside being a lawyer/rapper is allegedly a lecturer at the Ashesi University in Berekuso
2. Sarkodie
Sarkodie is involved in the production of his clothing line, Sark Wear and his mineral water, Holic Water.
3. Yvonne Nelson
The sexy “Dumsor Must Stop” actress involves herself in so many businesses such as modeling, fashion and recently movie production
4. John Dumelo
John wears so many hats as the CEO of J. Melo which produces hair and clothes for his numerous fans. He is also into tourism, real estate, philanthropy and politics
5. Juliet Ibrahim
Juliet Ibrahim is into fashion and beauty. She recently launched her beauty line. The beauty range is made up of eye-lashes and lipsticks. She is also the founder of the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation which caters for people with Kidney diseases.
6. D-Black
D-Black is what you’ll call a “musicpreneur” Aside being the CEO of Black Avenue music he own several brands including the Black Avenue Clothing and Black Avenue Works. He is also into events as the owner of LiveWire Events.
7. Sandra Ankobiah
Sandra Ankobiah is a lawyer and a media mogul who is now the co-founder of a media school.
8. Mugeez (R2Bees)
Mugeez the other half of the R2Bees brand has a clothing line, Meridian Clothing at East Legon.
9. Stacy Amoateng
Stacy is a popular TV show host and now doubles as he owner of a vibrant fashion retail store in the city.
8. Diamond Appiah
Diamond Appiah has her own cosmetic line of beauty creams and she is now eyeing the Trobu seat to become a member of parliament.
10. Reggie Rockstone
Reggie Rockstone is the CEO of the popular night club, Django bar and he recently moved into the hotel business.
11. Samini
Samini’s Dancestardom, a night club in Dansoman is known for great reggae/dancehall music and a hub for a lot of artistes. He doesn’t seem to be doing bad in this industry too.
12. Majid Michel
Majid Michel is one of Ghana’s best actors but apart from acting he owns an advertising agency. No wonder his wife and children are in so many commercials.
13. Martha Ankomah
Martha Ankoma added Martha’s Place, a beauty centre in Tesano to her career as an actress.
14. Captain Planet
Hiplife group, 4x4 is known to be the most stylish musical group in Ghana and it’s not shocking to know one of its members, Captain Planet is also into fashion retail.
15. Nadia Buari
After Nadia Buari gave birth to her adorable twins she got inspired to go into the production of baby diapers for mothers like herself.
16. Delay
Delay is one of the most hardworking ladies in the showbiz industry. She runs so many ventures from food, film and even clothes. Delays is the brain behind the Delay Show, Afia Schwarzenegger, Delay Foods, Smooch and recently the Cocoa Brown TV series
17. Bola Ray
Nathaniel Adisi a.k.a Bola Ray is the Chief Executive Officer of the EIB network made up of TV stations, Fm’s and a newspaper outlet. He also owns Empire entertainment and a music label.
18. Sonnie Badu
Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu is on record to have said that he is into real estate and many other businesses he hasn’t yet divulged to the public.
19. Okyeame Kwame
Okyeame Kwame and his wife Annica run an events and advertising company
20. Lexis Bill
The Joy FM host doubles as the owner of a gymnasium. This perhaps explains his very bulky physique.
