The Ghana police administration has warned applicants seeking to enlist into the service to stay away from presenting forged or fake documents in its recruitment exercise.
The statement issued on Friday and signed by Supt Cephas Arthur, the director of public affairs cautioned that the service will arrest and prosecute recruitment applicants who produce scam documents at the next stage of its ongoing recruitment exercise, scheduled for Monday, 18th July to 22nd July.
The forged documents could either be an academic certificate or a birth certificate.
The police have announced modalities for the next stage of the recruitment process saying the list of qualified applicants will be posted at all regional and district police commands as well as all police training schools across the country by Wednesday, 13th July.
They therefore requested all qualified candidates to visit the named police commands and police training schools closest to find out where they have been placed for the selection exercise.
The statement also requested applicants to log onto the police website: www.police.gov.gh with effect from 13th July 2016 for the same information.
Applicants were also requested to bring along on the reporting day July, 18, 2016 the following documents and items.
Copy of the print out of reply to online application indicating their qualification to the next stage.
Original copy of birth certificate.
Original Copy of J.H.S certificate.
Original copy of S.H.S certificate
Two (2) passport-size photographs
The police also asked applicants to take note and make arrangement to stay for the entire duration of the process.
