Sick student of St. Augustine's College dies after exeat denial

Media reports indicate that a student of St. Augustine's College at Cape Coast (name withheld) has died at a hospital after being denied an exeat by school authorities to seek medical attention.

The student, according to reports, had not been well for some time and made a number of attempts to seek permission to go home but all to no avail. The unfortunate situation happened on the night of July 7  when the said student whose condition had gone worse died in the hands of his colleagues as they tried rushing him to a nearby hospital.

All means to get in touch with school authorities have proved futile as the said information was reported by an anonymous student in the school. Police are yet to begin investigations into the development.
