Portugal played some attacking football on the nite despite the absence of Ronaldo who was replaced early in the game by Quaresma.

The Portuguese took a brilliant goal by another substitute Eder to send a bitter 1-0 defeat down the throats of a hitherto brilliant France team in the final of the Euro 2016 on Sunday. This is the first UEFA European championship title for Portugal.
