Mahama commiserates with family of Mampong disaster

President John Dramani Mahama has donated GHC 15,000 to the family of the victims of last month’s fire disaster in Mampong.

He also commiserated with the family while on his “Accounting to the People” tour of the Upper West region was in Kumasi for a function at KNUST after which he called on the Municipal Chief Executive of Asante Mampong to arrange his meeting with the families of the fire victims.

The president’s deed was revealed on a Kumasi based radio station, Abusua FM by the Ashanti Regional Minister, John Alexander Ackon.

The President took time to visit the families who lost their loved ones to the fire outbreak at Asante Mampong last month including the two women who both lost their husbands – one of them lost all her four children,” he said.

President wished them his deepest condolences and handed a cash of GH¢5,000 each to the two widows as well as another GH¢5,000 to their (extended) families.”
