Thelma Tawiah, the first winner of the Miss Malaika pageant in 2003 also represented Ghana that same year in Africa but failed to clinch that crown as well.

However the then 18-year old Wesley Girl’s graduate who first redefined the concept of beauty with her intelligence went on to study Law at the university. She is now a Lawyer with the Accra office of ENS Africa.

After Thelma Tawiah’s reign, she handed over the crown to beautiful Melissa Melinda Mensah in 2004 after she beat stiff competition from the other contestants to be crowned Miss Malaika 2005.

Melissa Mensah after rolling with the stars and the crème de la crème in society, ambassadorial duties and her studies in Legon went on to study Banking, Finance, and Insurance at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York far from the eyes of the Ghanaian media.

Patricia Akuamoah was the winner of Miss Malaika 2005 and the predecessor of Malaika heartthrob and favorite of many viewers, supermodel Hamamat Montia.

The Malaria ambassador and Ghana’s Miss Malaika international representative did her very best to ward off competition from her closest contenders Linda Debra and Lina Smith to walk away with the Car, a full furnished wardrobe from sponsors plus other prices. Most would have taught a successful career was set out for the young, tall and bold young girl but that wouldn’t be as she is now registered nurse in the U.S

The then 18-year old Hamamat Montia will always be remembered for her fresh-faced ebony beauty and confidence that came with her petite figurine helping her grab the crown.

Hamamat went on to win the Model of Africa Universe crown in 2007 and started her blossoming career in modeling. Hamamat after a long hiatus from the industry bounced back in 2015 with a number of charity projects and business venture. The  Achimotan who won the hearts of many Ghanaians is now signed onto Konvict music as a model and was part of the Miss Malaika panel of Judges as of 2015.

The then 20-year-old Laurie Naa Lamle Lawson won Miss Malaika 2007 when she was still a second-year student at the University Of Ghana Medical School.

After the show, the crown and all the fame that came with she continued her 7-year course in medicine and she’s currently a practicing medical doctor.

Tamara is also one of the most beloved Malaika alumni. Her name stills resonate smiles with viewers and other people who experienced her kindness as the Malaria ambassador.

Tamara Ama Dzormeku was crowned Miss Malaika in 2008 amidst the pomp and pageantry. She is also a practicing doctor and known officially as Dr. Tamara Ama  Dzormeku.

Ama after her reign continued to be part of the Miss Malaika selection process until 2015 when she moved to Italy. She is now an exploration Geoscientist with an international energy company, ENI.

Geraldine Partington affectionately known as Gerry had the dream changing opportunity of winning Miss Malaika in 2011 in spite of the drama and accusation that almost rocked her reign.

The beautiful multilingual graduate of Legon recently graduated with a Masters in International Business from Grenole in France.

Bridget Sharon Cofie - Miss Malaika 2012

The Miss Malaika @ 10 winner, Sharon Cofie, won the title after the competition had been restructured.

The 18-year-old former student of St. Mary’s Secondary school brought her ideas and personality to the crown in a positive way. After handing over in 2013 she continued her schooling at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Sharon graduated just recently with a B.A in Political Studies from the University.

Naa Oyoe Quartey - Miss Malaika 2013

Naa Oyoe Quartey - Miss Malaika

The then 19-year old Naa Oyoe Quartey in 2013 laughed her way to the top as she gracefully carried the Miss Malaika title for that year.

After a brief stint in modeling, Naa concentrated on her studies at the University of Ghana. She is currently in her final year as an Actuary.

Eirene Binabiba - Miss Malaika 2014

Eirene Binabiba also joins the list of past Malaika queens as she won the crown in 2014.

Miss. Binabiba is currently the face of several beauty and hair brands as well as a commercial model with several billboards across the nation.

Kuukua Korsah - Miss Malaika 2015

Kuukua Korsah, a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST) is Miss Malaika Ghana 2015 queen

She is currently the face of GTP and is doing quite a great job at it.

Miss Malaika has been produced by Charterhouse since 2003 when it first aired on TV.

The show was primarily geared at picking a Ghanaian rep for the Pan-African pageant. After the show ended abruptly, the Ghanaian organizers continued with the show which has churned out 13 Queens and served as a platform for many of the girls who participated to get closer to their dreams in fashion, entertainment and modeling.
