The leadership of Ghana’s legislative arm of government has indicated that processes are in place to summon Assin Central legislature, Kennedy Agyapong over sexual allegations comments he made against the Electoral Commission boss.
This was revealed by the deputy Majority Leader, Alfred Agbesi to the media. “Honourable Kennedy Agyapong is a Member of Parliament, and for that matter, we are in a certain environment governed by rules and regulations. Definitely leadership is going to call him and hear his side and how he feels about what he is doing,” he revealed.
Various women’s pressure groups have sent petition to the leadership of the house for comments made by the MP during a rally in the Ashanti Region.
The MP is alleged to said the EC chairperson, Mrs Charlotte Osei slept with certain big names in government to get the EC boss position.
“If leadership of parliament feels an action needs to be taken on what he is doing, why not?”
the MP further assured that the House will act swiftly on the matter.
