The electoral commission is about deleting names of voters who registered with their NHIS cards following an order by the supreme court.
All names, totalling over 56,772 are expected to be published in the dailies just so voters would be informed and thus follow up with the need steps of re-registration. The EC during a meeting with political parties and other stakeholders noted that it will also publish the names of the affected persons in the newspapers and will also provide the various political parties with the names of the affected persons on Wednesday.
In all the Electoral Commission expects about 14,031,793 people who are eligible to vote in this year’s elections.
