The national women's organiser of the New Patriotic Party Otiko Afisa Djaba has called on the national security outfit, BNI to probe the alleged relationship between President John Mahama and the chairperson of the Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei.
“The critical issue is that an allegation has been made against the president of Ghana. The allegation is that there is something between the president and Charlotte Osei, and that is what I expect the BNI and the national security to investigate. Because we are going into an election and if it is true that the EC boss has an affair with the president, then it is a big issue. And I think it is a legitimate question, we need the answer,” she said.
She however, down played the various protest that have greeted the allegations by MP Kennedy Agyepong that EC boss exchanged her womanhood for the position.

Otiko opined that the protest against the MP is “needless”.
Addressing NPP supporters in Koforidua in the Eastern region, the NPP Women's leader said there could be some truth in the claims by the eccentric politician.
She also noted that the claims by the Assin Central MP must not be swept under the carpet but must be investigated.
