The trial of the murder case of NPP’s Upper East regional chairperson, Adams Mahama continued on Tuesday with the wife of the deceased testify to the High Court.
Hajia Zenabu Adams told the court that before her husband died, he told her that Gregory Afoko and Asabke Alangbi poured acid on him leading to his death.
"My husband returned home at 11 pm crying in the car, saying I am dying, younger brother of the politician Paul Afoko and Asabke have poured a substance on me," Hajia Adams told the court in Hausa.
Gregory Afoko, who is the brother of suspended NPP national chairperson Paul Afoko, has being held on the charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and the murder of the late NPP regional chairman.
Adams Mahama died a day after the incident. A seven-member jury is hearing the case. The case which started in May 2015 has travelled on for nine months now.
