Passengers of the KIA complain about missing items

Some users of the Kotoka International Airport are alleging that some staff of the airport have been tampering with their luggage.

Narrating her ordeal to the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ms Irene Obiri Yeboah revealed that when she touched down from an England fight on July 11, 2016, she realised upon reaching home that her bags have been tampered with.

She opined she left Accra for the UK around midnight on the faithful day because her flight delayed.

When I arrived in the UK to clear my bag I realised instantly that the bags had been tampered with because they were very light in weight. I waited until I got home before opening, only to discover that virtually all the things in my bag had been stolen,” she said.

She mentioned that the items stolen from her luggage included several pieces of brand new African clothes that she had bought to use while in the UK.

Another old woman also told her story of how her tablet and other valuables got missing after going through the KIA.
