When pictures of Christopher Opoku emerged a few weeks ago showing the Ghanaian sports journalist in a much leaner frame and frail condition following his battle with cancer, a lot of hearts were broken.

Christopher Opoku sends subtle message of hope to his fans

A friend of Mr. Opoku's, Nii Ashley had posted a number of pictures on Facebook of the sports journo and his family and asking Ghanaians to pray for him to recover and return to his normal life.

Recently, Christopher who is still very active on his blog and social media posted on Facebook what seems to be a subtle endowment of hope to his friends and family concerning his present condition.

Christopher's Facebook post which was in honour of of his boss and CEO of Accra based Citi FM, Mr. Samuel Attah-Mensah, thanked him for his immense support and wished him a happy birthday.

However at the end of the post, Christopher stated that he is away on sick leave but hopes to return on air soon doing what we all love him for.
