Five dead in renewed Bole chieftaincy clashes

Renewed chieftaincy clashes at Bole in the Northern Region have led to the death of five people, the Daily Graphic has reported.

The clashes began on Wednesday night between traditional warriors from two rival factions in the area.

The warriors were said to have occupied the Kablama community and also laid ambush on the outskirts of the town, preventing security forces from entering to restore order.

The dispute was triggered by the chieftaincy impasse between two royal families in the community, the report said.
