The video from a TV interview at the ongoing IAAF World Junior Athletics Championships in  Bydgoszcz, Poland went viral due to Jean Marie Myasiro's heavy tribal accent while speaking in English.

In the video,  Mysira is clearly unable to articulate himself fluently English. Kenyans on social media however were quick to blast those laughing at his accent.

According to some viewers, those who laughed or mocked Mysiro could not even speak their own mother tongue let alone speak a foreign language but were quick to put a fellow African down.

19-year old Myasiro managed to break a 12-year national record in 10,000m.  He clocked 29:26:16 to finish in the 11th place out of the 34 athletes, hence breaking the record of 29:35:41 that was set by Valence Bivahagumye in 2004 in Italy in a similar event. Bivahagumye was also 19 years old then.
