Fatal accident kills EC official, two others in W/R

A returning officer of the electoral commission (EC), Naanson Anyimah, has died in a fatal car accident at Ezinlibo in the Western Region.

Naanson, together with two other reporters, were returning home from Tikobo Number One on the last day of a three-day training on the on-going exhibition of the voters’ register, when their car run into a ditch on the main Takoradi Half-Assini road.

Jomoro district police commander, Superintendent John Furguson Dzineku, says the cause of the accident is not yet known, as investigations continue. Meanwhile, the exhibition is going on smoothly at Ezinlibo despite the accident. According to the acting returning officer of the town, Juana Yankey,a total of thirty (30) voters have checked their names since the exercise started on Monday.
