A wreath-laying ceremony has been held at the Asomdwee Park in Accra to commemorate the 4th anniversary of former late president John Evans Atta Mills.

The ceremony which saw the former president of Malawi, Joyce Banda lay a wreath on the tomb of the late president also saw a cross-section of government officials including foreign affairs minister, Hanna Tetteh.

Prof. Mills won the 2008 presidential elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), defeating the New Patriotic Party's candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the run-off.
