Speaking the forum the former First Lady said the current administration has failed to solve the problems of Ghanaians.

According to her, the NDC government is everything but innovative.

As a nation, we cannot settle for better while other countries are reaching for the best with innovative leadership,” she said.

The NDP leader also noted that the current tax regime the government is supervising is counterproductive for economic development and crippling businesses.

The government is telling us only a few Ghanaian pay taxes. The NDP wants to differ. Everybody pays tax on rural water, [National Health Insurance Scheme] NHIS – these taxes are on everything that we buy,” she said.

The NDP leader said she will change the tax system to reflect the economic situation of Ghanaians.
