Communications minister ordered to pay light bills

Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho has ordered the minister of communications, Edward Omane Boamah to ensure that his ministry pays the electricity bills of the Assembly Press which prints documents in parliament.

The order followed complaints by members of parliament (MPs) about the inability of  them getting copies of the legislative instrument (LI) on the electronic communications (Interconnect Clearing House Service) Regulations, 2016, which was laid in the House on June 22 to them on time for their perusal.

Meanwhile, a confirmation of such payment is yet to be made by the ministry as the minister is yet to comment on the official order.
