Police are beginning investigations into what has been described as the biggest ATM scams in the history of Ghana with six Nigerian nationals so far arrested.
The situation will see the police offload the investigations to Ghana’s Financial Intelligence Centre due to its serious nature with over 150 ATM cards belonging to bank account holders of different banks mostly in Nigeria being the victim.

The first group of ATM fraudsters who had in their possessing about 150 ATM cards from Access and GT Bank syphoned 57,000 Cedis on Ecobank ATMS in Greater Accra while the second barge of withdrawal amounts to 100,000.
The affected banks so far, are Access Bank, EcoBank, GT BANK in the Greater Accra Region.
