Ghanaians urged to show good faith

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has advised Ghanaians to show good faith and work together in unity for the success of the December elections.

According to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, everybody must play by the rules of the game to make the general election peaceful and sustain the nation’s multi-party democracy on the path of growth.

He further noted everybody had a vital contribution to make to protect the peace, stability, and unity of the society.

The Asantehene also urged stakeholders including the political parties, the Electoral Commission (EC), security agencies and the National Peace Council to ensure fairness to remove suspicion and distrust during the elections.

He made these comments when he received the Interior Minister, Mr Prosper Bani, who was on a two-day official visit to the Ashanti Region.

On his part, Mr Bani gave the assurance that adequate measures had been put in place to prevent violence, fear or intimidation during the election.
