Okwahu United had to rely on the heroics of goalkeeper Abass Mohammed to reach the final of this season's MTN FA Cup after beating Liberty Professionals 3-2 on penalties on Sunday night in Kumasi.

The second tier side came from a goal down to tie at 1-1 after extra-time and during spot-kicks scored three out of four kicks to make it to a fourth final.
Usual suspect, Latif Blessing scored just on the stroke of half-time for the Dansoman lads but Okwahu United found the equalizer through McClean Ampadu on 63 minutes.
Meawhile, Bechem United also defeated Wa Rockets 2-0 in the first semi final game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, also on Sunday to set a date for the finals.
Hamza Mohammed and Richard Baffour scored in the 48 and 70 minutes respectively to put the ball beyond the reach of the second tier side.
The final match has been scheduled for the New Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday September 4.
